A
hungry harbour seal waits for tourists. In summer time, numerous
visitors come to Oak Bay Marina and feed purchased bits of fish to the
resident seals. With so much food, the overfed seals get lazy and
sometimes even refuse the offerings. In other seasons, only occasional
visitors come and share food. Seals' attention and even occasional
performance, like splashing water with front fins to get a reward,
is almost guaranteed.
